How to play Pyramid Solitaire

The XH0411 guide to Pyramid Solitaire starts with one decision at a time. Your task is to remove all 28 pyramid cards. The controls and example below describe this exact implementation.

Pyramid, stock and waste; one stock recycle. Free solo play, no wagering.

One decision at a time

Focus on the next valid action. After taking it, check how the position or game state changed before making another choice.

Your goal

Remove all 28 pyramid cards.

Step by step

  1. Only uncovered cards are selectable. Pairs total 13; a king removes alone.
  2. Click an exposed card or eligible pair to remove it.
  3. Draw when useful.
  4. Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.

Controls

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown.

A useful example

An exposed queen pairs with an ace; a jack pairs with a 2.

Watch out for this

Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy.
